How to Use AirPlay - Screen Mirroring From an iPhone

When using the iPhone X, swipe up from the top-right corner of the screen to open the Control Center. Then, select the "AirPlay" tab. If you're on an iPad, you can swipe up from the bottom-right edge of the screen. If you're on an iPhone 8, or if you're running iOS 11, swipe up from the bottom-right corner of any screen. From there, you can choose your Mac from the list of devices. Simply enter the code you're given in the Mac's Control Center, and the screen will appear on the other device. The Apple logo on the Mac will appear at the top right-hand corner, as well, so you can see it. Make sure the Mac is near the iPhone. If you're not already connected, check that it has the latest software updates installed.

Next, tap the AirPlay button in the Control Centre and select your device. Once you've chosen your device, you'll be prompted to enter an AirPlay code. To start screen mirroring, select the AirPlay icon on the iPhone's menu bar and click it. Once this is done, you'll be able to see your iPad on a bigger screen. To stop the screen mirroring, simply select the Apple TV in the Control Center and enter your passcode.

The following steps show how to start screen mirroring from an iPhone. To use AirPlay on an iPhone, you'll need to install the free application HomeKit. It is compatible with all Apple products. You'll also need a computer with an Apple TV to use the service. If you've purchased an Apple TV, you can use a similar method on your Apple TV. The Apple TV will work as a second screen mirroring device.

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
